I need a surge protector before hurricane season comes in, if not I will have the same problem than last year. We didn’t have power for 2 weeks and the power was crazy coming and going. Our equipment need protection TODAY!!!! Faulty wiring, downed power lines and faulty equipment at the power source (utility company) can all cause power surges as well. Surge protectors are also commonly called power strips, surge suppressors and transient suppressors.
